Planning a move to Japan is an exciting step toward a new chapter in your life. At Go! Go! Nihon, we’re here to support you at every stage of your journey. We offer a clear, reliable, and stress-free way to handle your payments. We are here to guide you through what you need to pay, when you need to pay it, and who each payment goes to.

Our service is free, and students pay no more than they would if they applied directly to the schools themselves. The benefits are incredible — you get our guidance and support at no extra cost.

Please note that using our services is free but you’re still responsible for covering all the costs for your study (e.g. tuition, accommodation, cost of living, flights etc.) and the school has required fees such as the application fee and tuition fee. The application fee is paid to your school and reserves your spot, the tuition fee is also paid to your school to cover tuition and school fees, and the optional accommodation fee is paid to the housing agent if you decide to pursue accommodation with us.

Why do I need to make payments during the application process?

There are typically two mandatory payments that every student has to make, plus an optional third payment if you book accommodation through Go! Go! Nihon:

  1. Application fee — reserves your spot at the school
  2. Tuition fee — required by the school before they can issue your visa paperwork
  3. Accommodation fee (optional) — if you book housing through one of our partners

Each payment serves a different purpose and is handled by different organizations (the school or our housing partners). Go! Go! Nihon does not charge any fees — our support is completely free. You will pay the exact same amounts as if you were paying directly to the schools yourself.

What exactly are the payments?

Application fee

The application fee is the first payment you’ll make. Once you confirm with your Student Advisor which of the schools you want to enroll in, you’ll be invited into our Application Portal and receive instructions on how to pay.

Why it’s required:

We recommend confirming that you meet the requirements and paying as soon as possible to avoid disappointment, so you have the best chance of attending your first-choice school.

Common payment methods:

  • PayPal
  • Bank transfer
  • Cryptocurrency (via CoinGate)

Tuition fee

The tuition fee is the second and largest payment in the process, and is required before the school can move forward with your visa paperwork.

Why it’s required:

The school must confirm tuition payment before sending your Certificate of Eligibility (CoE), which is an extremely important document that is required for your student visa. The school requires tuition payment before issuing the CoE because once it is issued, your school becomes your visa sponsor, so they must confirm that your tuition has been paid and that you are committed to enrolling.

Common payment methods:

  • Bank transfer
  • Wise
  • FlyWire (available for many schools)

Please note: payment options depend on the school, and we’ll clarify the available methods once you receive your invoice. If you can only pay in a specific way, please confirm the payment method with your Student Advisor.

Accommodation fee (optional)

If you book housing through Go! Go! Nihon, there will be one final payment for your chosen accommodation, which will be paid directly to them.

Why it’s required:

Housing partners need the move-in and initial fees before you arrive so your residence can be reserved and prepared.

Common payment methods:

  • Bank transfer
  • Credit card

Please note that each partner will confirm your payment options with you directly.
