Established in 1992, Okayama Institute of Languages is one of the largest Japanese language schools in the Chūgoku and Shikoku regions. The school offers a range of courses, from those who wish to study at university or find work in Japan, to short-term and working holiday courses. For the past four years, students have passed their JLPT N1 exams with full scores, attesting to the school's high quality teaching.

Okayama is a welcoming and homey place that offers all the conveniences of a city with a small-town atmosphere. It's easy to get around by bicycle making it eco-friendly and people are exceptionally friendly. The school is located near the city centre, where you can also find restaurants, post offices, hospitals and shopping areas. There are many places to see areas of beautiful true Japan in the region, from Naoshima, famous for its modern art, to historical spots such as Korakuen Garden and the Kurashiki Bikan Historical area.

COURSE INTRODUCTION

This course is designed for students who wish to enter Japanese graduate schools, universities, vocational schools, etc. Students can study with the goal of passing the JLPT and finding employment in Japan. The school is proud of its high-quality education, and students’ satisfaction rates are consistently over 90%. In addition to classes, students have the opportunity to study Japanese through various activities such as Japanese cultural experiences, company visits, exchanges with Japanese universities, and locals.
They employ an original Kanji teaching method, which is very effective for western students to learn kanji smoothly.

Beginner - 9 Months

The beginner level class is a well-balanced curriculum that focuses on daily conversation, including grammar, vocabulary, conversation, hiragana, katakana, and basic kanji, as well as focusing on support for skills such as presentations. Their original Kanji teaching method helps students learn Kanji very effectively.

Other Course Features

JLPT PREP ELECTIVE CLASSES

These JLPT classes will prepare you for levels N2 or N1. They will focus on teaching you techniques to pass the test and will focus on the different sections that you will encounter in the test.

BUSINESS JAPANESE CLASSES

Study proper business Japanese and etiquette. This class is perfect for all students, especially those who are looking for full-time employment in Japan.
