Nihon & their team is the reason why I've now made my 10-years-in-the-works dream of coming to Japan & living in the country to work towards having a career here... happen!As I'm now sitting right in the middle of Tokyo waiting for the summer session for my language school to start (as my personal goal is to have N2-N1 level Japanese prior to entering the corporate world in Japan), Silvia (my coordinator) has been the voice of support and reason since I began the arduous 8, 9 month journey of applying to my language school. Without her, I would have never made it to actually being on my way to making my life goals happen.From choosing the right school for me, advising what paperwork was needed, what to expect when arriving, and housing options, all of my concerns were addressed and taken care of with the help of her and the team. In addition, they made sure of what exactly was wrong with any items I submitted, and gave clear guidance on what would be needed to ensure the clearest path to a successful application. Even though my journey of getting to Japan and having my life fully situated is close to over, the team at Go! Go! Nihon still is open and offering support past the application process and have been very vocal about wishing to continue being supportive with any questions or concerns about life in Japan via their various social media platforms.I could not have done all of this on my own. As someone who likes having a clear support with big, daunting tasks, having a supportive team that does this daily was a big reassurance over having to directly contact and mitigate the needed items and documents with a school. Some people are able to do that on their own, but I personally like having the extra hands on deck making sure that the process is as seamless as possible as communication is key to make sure everything needed to be done is addressed to the best understanding of everyone involved.For anyone who is looking to make this same journey, whether it be for a short period of time or for a several year journey, I cannot recommend them enough. I recently arrived in Japan on a tourist visa with plans to live in Japan, potentially work I wasn't sure. A new friend of mine who worked producing videos for Go! Go! Nihon... suggested the idea of a student visa as an option because it offers the opportunity to both study and work in Japan. She informed me that Go! Go! Nihon was a service that helped connect students with language schools and necessary services to live in Japan and study the language. I got in contact and a very helpful worker Whitney was assigned to help me with the process. I was entering the process close to a cut off for the mid year intake and felt a bit of stress regarding this, however with the prompt, considerate and kind help of Whitney the process of organising all documents and necessary processes was made efficient and manageable. Go! Go! Nihon have many resources available to help assist with applications and useful details on how to go through each step. All in all the process was very smooth and for anyone looking to study and live in Japan I would highly recommend this service as a way of making it happen. GoGoNihon has been nothing but wonderful from start to finish. This has been about an nine month process from the time I first reached out to getting my Visa, for reference. I was... unsure at first how much assistance they could offer, being a free service and all, but I am absolutely blown away by the amount of detail and helpfulness the staff and site go into. They have a whole portal where you upload your documents, fill out paperwork necessary for your visa, select, apply, and pay for dorms or housing, apply for rides from the airport, you name it. They even send you guides as time gets closer for how to use all the different technology in Japan once you're there. Je peux affirmer avoir eu des personnes en OR par messages.Se lancer dans l'inconnu peut, parfois, faire peur et grâce à la gentillesse et bienveillance des équipes de Go! Go! Nihon, je n'ai eu aucun moment de doute ou regret.Aujourd'hui j'entame ma deuxième semaine d'étude en japonais dans une très bonne école avec un logement plus que correct, une assurance/pension japonaise, un forfait téléphone ainsi qu'un compte en banque japonais. Et ça, je leur dois à eux, à leurs blogs, FAQ et partenaires (tels que les agences de logements). Beaucoup de choses que je n'aurais pu réaliser seul, sans leurs précieux conseils.Bref tout ça pour vous dire merci !Merci d'avoir réalisé ce rêve d'il y a 1 an. Purtroppo non mi sono trovato bene con la mia responsabile. Quando le ho chiesto informazioni più specifiche sui corsi della scuola che avrei frequentato, mi ha risposto in... maniera vaga e inconcludente. Avrei preferito che mi dicesse che non lo sapeva o che avrebbe chiesto (o che avrei potuto chiedere io direttamente) alla scuola in questione. Per quanto riguarda l'alloggio, ho rischiato proprio di non averne uno. Meno di due mesi prima della partenza, avevo proposto alla responsabile una share house che per me sarebbe stata ideale e che si sarebbe liberata in concomitanza con il mio arrivo in Giappone, ma lei più di una volta mi ha risposto con messaggi precompilati dicendo che dovevamo seguire le loro tempistiche. Ho dunque aspettato e intanto la camera in questione è stata prenotata da altri. Quando è stato il momento, ho inviato una prima volta il form alle agenzie, ma sono stato molto specifico per cui non è colpa di nessuno se le opzioni che mi avevano proposto non mi avevano soddisfatto. Sotto consiglio della responsabile, ho provato ad essere più generico con i requisiti dell'alloggio e ho mandato un secondo form, ma nelle due settimane successive non ho ricevuto neanche un'opzione. Dunque ho dovuto prenotare un albergo (per diverse settimane e spendendo non poco) poiché l'unica sharehouse rimasta a 3 settimane dalla partenza e che soddisfava le mie esigenze sarebbe stata libera da fine ottobre. Ora che devo svolgere le pratiche burocratiche per entrare e registrarmi in Giappone non mi sento per nulla incentivato a chiedere assistenza a Go! Go! Nihon, visto che in questi mesi ho avuto un'esperienza decisamente poco soddisfacente.read more

Very disappointing after a great experience with Gogo hanguk. They ask which language you want to be contacted in, I asked for English, got French instead. After explaining a... couple of times that I was a mature student so long past the age for a guarantor and that I had already found info on other websites that students can be their own guarantor GGN advisor kept insisting on the guarantor. Also because I have lived abroad all my life I do not have the paperwork required of French citizens, which again the person could not wrap their head around. Oh and they are using a messaging system that times you out if you take too long to write the message and you get to start over, you’ve been warned! 🤣 but in all seriousness, Gogo Hanguk was so helpful in understanding and helping my particular situation and actually getting me to Korea, what a let down gogo Ninon was.read more
