This resulted in a six or seven-month delay, creating a lot of uncertainty about his study plans. One of the students explained,

Student Overcomes Challenges to Study in Japan During 2020 Pandemic

Even with all the problems caused by the pandemic, the students said that things went well overall. When they got to Osaka, they had to go through a careful immigration process, which included health checks and a two-week quarantine.

  • Smooth immigration process with helpful officers.
  • Support during the mandatory two-week quarantine.

After I landed in Osaka, there was quite a procedure to go through immigration. Of course, they checked us for coronavirus, and we had to follow certain rules.

During the two-week quarantine at the inn, we had to report our temperature to the school every day, and the government called daily to check on us and ensure we were being taken care of.

The students were excited to experience Japanese culture and everyday life after quarantine.

The first thing I wanted to do after quarantine was to go to an izakaya for drinks and Japanese food, go shopping for things I forgot to bring to Japan, and walk around my neighborhood.
