General Japanese Class
The General Japanese Course allows students to learn to read, write, speak and listen in Japanese. This course focuses on learning Japanese through listening and conversation to help students to build strong communicatiom skills quickly. The advanced level work covers the foundation studies needed for university or graduate school as well as professional fluency in Japanese.

TERM 1 - 3
BEGINNER - 9 MONTHS
Beginner Level 1 uses original study materials to help students learn the important grammar needed in Japanese but with a focus on oral communication. This is supported by romanized texts, vocabulary lists, and conversational study texts that have been translated into English and other languages.
Beginner Level 2 builds upon previously learned Japanese knowledge and after completing this level, learners can use basic communication, such as making requests, asking for advice, talking about interests, and so on. (equal to JLPT N4 level).
TERM 4 – 6
INTERMEDIATE - 9 MONTHS
Beginning with a review of the previous terms grammar, students move on to learn how to apply this in reading and writing as well as further listening and conversation exercises. As the term progresses, they move on to learning about the variation of words and their correct meanings and usages, enabling them to speak more naturally. There are also optional lessons to enable students to study particular Japanese interests in more depth.

TERM 7 – 9
ADVANCED - 9 MONTHS
Students progress to learn how to read and understand more complex texts and partake in more complex conversations. Ranging from essays, prose and fiction of around 2000-3000 words to Japanese appropriate expressions and forms of language for various situations.

Special preparatory class
Focusing on EJU preparation, personal statement and interview preparation, this course covers all aspects of application for students intending to move on to private university. Available from April to December and July to December.

Business Japanese class
For those wanting to work in Japan, this course prepares students for all aspect of Japanese business. This ranges from debating, dealing with company visits to presentations. It also includes lessons from guest lecturers to enable students to learn real world skills. Each student is assigned a career counselor as well to help them get established in the world of work. Classes are subject to availability and offered only for those at JLPT N2 level.

Ideal for those with a clear goal on a short timeline. If you would like to attend University in Japan or are looking to start a career in Japan then this is the course for you. It accelerates the learning process from beginner (N5) through to advanced, reducing the standard learning time of 1 year 6 months down to 9 months. Classes subject to availability.
