AKIHABARA ELECTRIC TOWN – Akihabara, also known as “Electric Town”, is world famous as the IT mecca of Tokyo. When you walk through Akihabara, don’t be surprised to see people wearing cosplay clothing as you may lose your sense of reality and feel like you’ve been pulled inside an episode of your favorite anime series. Akihabara is very popular among local “otakus”, which has lead to hundreds of anime, manga, and video game shops being located here.
Whether you are looking for the latest high-tech gadget or you want to buy an old Nintendo game, Akihabara is the place to go! Also located in close proximity to the school is Asakusa. You can experience traditional Japan in Asakusa with its many temples and shrines. With a clear view of Tokyo’s new Sky Tree, you can definitely feel the mixing of old and new Japan.

Classes are either in the morning or in the afternoon, based on your level of Japanese.
Other features
JLPT prep elective classes
These JLPT classes will prepare you for levels N2 or N1. They will focus on teaching you techniques to pass the test and will focus on the different sections that you will encounter in the test.
Higher education prep elective class
This elective class prepares you for the EJU test, which is required for all students aiming to attend university in Japan.
Business class
Study proper business Japanese and etiquette. This class is perfect for all students, especially those who are looking for full-time employment in Japan.

TERM 1 - 2
BEGINNER - 6 MONTHS
Their motto is "to acquire real functional Japanese ability" so you will be focusing on how to express what you want to say from the very first day. From basic grammar to basic conversational skills, you’ll gain the ability to understand and express ideas. Upon Completion, you will be JLPT N4 level. Main textbooks: Survival Japanese, Minna no Nihongo 1&2.
TERM 3 - 5
INTERMEDIATE - 9 MONTHS
Students will be allowed to choose their respect elective classes once at the intermediate level. University entrance examination preparation, business Japanese, Japanese culture, and more will be offered as elective courses. Focus will be placed on expressing and understanding complex ideas using appropriate language for the situation. Upon completion, you will be JLPT N3-N2 level. Main textbooks: New Approach Japanese (Intermediate), Learning 700 Kanji through Stories
TERM 6 - 10
ADVANCED - 9 MONTHS
Debating and negotiating skills, plus proper usage of advanced vocabulary will be practiced. Complete ability to understand Japanese TV and newspapers, plus the ability to discuss to a variety of topics will be the main goal. All skills will be mastered and refined so you learn to naturally use your Japanese. Upon completion, you will be JLPT N2-N1 level. Main textbooks: New Approach Japanese (Pre-Advanced/Advanced), Kanji for Foreign Students Advanced 1,000
