When you walk through Akihabara, don’t be surprised to see people wearing cosplay clothing as you may lose your sense of reality and feel like you’ve been pulled inside an episode of your favorite anime series. Akihabara is very popular among local “otakus”, which has lead to hundreds of anime, manga, and video game shops being located here.

Whether you are looking for the latest high-tech gadget or you want to buy an old Nintendo game, Akihabara is the place to go! Also located in close proximity to the school is Asakusa. You can experience traditional Japan in Asakusa with its many temples and shrines. With a clear view of Tokyo’s new Sky Tree, you can definitely feel the mixing of old and new Japan.
