Yaruki Switch Job Application

Go! Go! Nihon are working with the Yaruki Switch group to help them find energetic candidates to teach in their schools across Japan. 

Each day, Yaruki Switch instructors strive to provide a high level of educational programs supported by a strong curriculum foundation to ensure that their students are best prepared for their future schooling in the challenging Japanese educational system. 

No day is the same, and you can expect to cover a broad variety of subjects such as reading and writing, phonics, songs and stories, arts and crafts, and more. You will use different lesson topics and styles to engage students and help them learn through different media.

Teachers are actively encouraged to grow and expand on the set curriculum to create truly unique lessons for their students. 

Applicants should enjoy working with children and be ready to teach students of all ages. Applicants must be self-motivated and eager to take on new challenges, such as helping to organise and execute events such as spelling bees and speech contests. Previous teaching experience and Japanese language skills can be an asset, but aren’t necessary as full training is provided.

Applicants must:

  • Have at least a two-year Associate’s Degree or higher, OR have a valid full-time work visa (spousal, working holiday, etc)
  • Be a native English speaker, or deemed highly competent in verbal and written English
  • Be a team player
  • Commit to the position for at least one year

 

Benefits:

  • Salary – Base salary of ¥250,000 monthly. Structured pay-rise system and career advancement opportunities based on experience, ability, and performance. All new instructors will have a 3-month probationary period.
  • Bonus – Available upon completion of a one-year contract and contract renewal.
  • Contract – Minimum one-year contract, which can be renewed based on job performance.
  • Work Hours – Regular working hours fall within the hours of 9:00-20:30, 5 days a week (generally Monday through Friday). 
  • Holidays and Leave – Ten paid vacation days a year after having worked six months, plus national holidays.
  • Working Visa – Visa sponsorship available (Applicants must meet Immigration requirements and have at least a 2-Year Associate’s Degree or higher)
  • Training -Thorough initial training is given to all new instructors with training workshops and seminars throughout the year to further help enhance instructors’ teaching skills.
  • Transportation Reimbursement – Work-related commuting costs are covered
  • Social Security – Health insurance included
  • Career Advancement – Opportunities for promotion
