In 2009, after meeting and studying at a Japanese language school together, Davide and John start working on a project that will make the process of living and studying in Japan much easier. The idea for Go! Go! Nihon is born. The service and website is launched with Italian, Swedish, and English language support. There is an immediate positive reception to the service and the first long-term students start the October session that year.

Ojalá pudiera decir que mi experiencia con Go Go Nihon esté siendo positiva como la gran mayoría comenta, pero no es así.Hasta hace un par de semanas todo iba muy bien, pero... desde que la persona que asesoraba y tramitaba mi inscripción se fue de vacaciones no he recibido ni un solo mensaje ni respuesta a mis preguntas. Con esto no me estoy quejando de que alguien se vaya de vacaciones, (que espero que le vayan muy bien y las disfrute) mi queja viene de que alguien más del personal debería haberla sustituido mientras esta no esté disponible en vez de dejarme sin respuesta desde hace dos semanas (en teoría responden con una demora de 2 o 3 días).Por ello mi opción fue recurrir a llamar directamente a las oficinas y el número de teléfono que atendía en español estaba ocupado (estuvo así dos días seguidos), así que contacté con ellos a través del número de habla inglesa y me atendieron muy bien. La chica que cogió el teléfono era muy amable y respondió a todas mis preguntas. ¿Entonces cual es el problema ahora? Pues que me han dado 10 días para entregar toda la documentación y tengo un par de dudas que obviamente no han sido contestadas por chat y he intentado contactar con ellos otra vez vía telefónica y nadie me ha cogido el teléfono, ni el español ni el inglés. Ahora mismo el trámite se cierra en 3 días y no se que hacer ni si realmente tengo más tiempo para ello o si la documentación que he entregado está toda correcta.Ojalá pueda cambiar esta reseña en los próximos días a una positiva, pero de momento no estoy teniendo ninguna confianza ni seguridad con este proceso.leia mais

Nihon & their team is the reason why I've now made my 10-years-in-the-works dream of coming to Japan & living in the country to work towards having a career here... happen!As I'm now sitting right in the middle of Tokyo waiting for the summer session for my language school to start (as my personal goal is to have N2-N1 level Japanese prior to entering the corporate world in Japan), Silvia (my coordinator) has been the voice of support and reason since I began the arduous 8, 9 month journey of applying to my language school. Without her, I would have never made it to actually being on my way to making my life goals happen.From choosing the right school for me, advising what paperwork was needed, what to expect when arriving, and housing options, all of my concerns were addressed and taken care of with the help of her and the team. In addition, they made sure of what exactly was wrong with any items I submitted, and gave clear guidance on what would be needed to ensure the clearest path to a successful application. Even though my journey of getting to Japan and having my life fully situated is close to over, the team at Go! Go! Nihon still is open and offering support past the application process and have been very vocal about wishing to continue being supportive with any questions or concerns about life in Japan via their various social media platforms.I could not have done all of this on my own. As someone who likes having a clear support with big, daunting tasks, having a supportive team that does this daily was a big reassurance over having to directly contact and mitigate the needed items and documents with a school. Some people are able to do that on their own, but I personally like having the extra hands on deck making sure that the process is as seamless as possible as communication is key to make sure everything needed to be done is addressed to the best understanding of everyone involved.For anyone who is looking to make this same journey, whether it be for a short period of time or for a several year journey, I cannot recommend them enough. Nihon are a great help to get started on the process, and have countless resources available to the public's disposal even if the schools they work with are not the right fit for you. I recently arrived in Japan on a tourist visa with plans to live in Japan, potentially work I wasn't sure. A new friend of mine who worked producing videos for Go! Go! Nihon... suggested the idea of a student visa as an option because it offers the opportunity to both study and work in Japan. She informed me that Go! Go! GoGoNihon has been nothing but wonderful from start to finish. This has been about an nine month process from the time I first reached out to getting my Visa, for reference. I was... unsure at first how much assistance they could offer, being a free service and all, but I am absolutely blown away by the amount of detail and helpfulness the staff and site go into. They have a whole portal where you upload your documents, fill out paperwork necessary for your visa, select, apply, and pay for dorms or housing, apply for rides from the airport, you name it. They even send you guides as time gets closer for how to use all the different technology in Japan once you're there. This platform has been a huge blessing for me not really knowing where to start with the process of applying to language school and uproot my entire life to go chase my dream of living and studying in Tokyo. They have been nothing short of amazing. Specifically, my coordinator, Saskia. Huge, huge, huge shout out to her!
