BECOME A SUSHI CHEF OR JAPANESE CUISINE CHEF

New Authentic Sushi and Japanese Cuisine Course will be offered starting from February 2017! You can gain a deeper knowledge in the Authentic Ways of sushi making and Japanese Cuisines. Learn all the techniques for authentic Japanese sushi making in the 4 weeks Authentic SUSHI course, then popular Japanese cuisine dishes known as “Washoku” nowdays in the 4 weeks Authentic JAPANESE CUISINE Course. Japanese language proficiency is not a requirement. The class is taught entirely in English, so prospective sushi chefs from all around the world are able to understand the lessons as long as they can understand English.

COURSE INTRODUCTION

Tokyo Sushi Academy's 4 week course covers everything you need to know to make professional standard, authentic Japanese sushi. Not only will you gain practical experience in handling the knifes correctly, you'll come away with your own set. The course gives your a chance to learn how to properly prepare over 20 kinds of fish as well as specialist Edomae style techniques specific to each ingredient. From the basics of cooking sushi rice to preparing live octopus, you'll cover all areas of this world famous food.

5 DAYS SASHIMI COURSE
COURSE INTRODUCTION

The Japanese delicacy of Sashimi requires careful training to get the best flavour out of the fish. This 5 day course covers 3 kinds of fish a day to give you a broad repertoire of preperation techniques for a range of fish, from tuna to tokobushi and seasonal fish. It's not just about producing sashimi either, you'll learn both Otsukuri and Tsuma/Ken techniques to add a touch of beauty to your creations. Once the course is complete, your learning won't stop as you will come away with your own set of professional knifes and an understanding of how to use them like one so you can keep on with your own training.

5 DAYS JAPANESE CUISINE COURSE
COURSE INTRODUCTION

The Tokyo Sushi Academy offers this 5 day course to learn how to create a delicious range of Washok from yakitori to tempura to grill techniques. You'll gain a real understanding of the ins and outs of the foods of Japan and how to create them from the ground up, including dashi soup stock and ten-tsuyu, components that could be considered the soul of the dishes.

6 WEEKS TOTAL COURSE
COURSE INTRODUCTION

This intensive 6 week course sets you up to be a true Japanese food aficionado. Starting with an initial 4 weeks training on Sushi learning to prepare an extensive range of ingredients, you'll move on to 5 days focusing on Sashimi preparation from knife skills to presenting your beautiful creations. Finally, the course finishes with 5 days on Washoku, authentic Japanese cuisine that includings yakitori and tempura. You'll learn everything from the essentials of dashi soup stock to more challenging techniques of Edomae style sushi.

10 days International Sushi Chef Course
COURSE INTRODUCTION

The course will intensively cover both sushi and washoku (Japanese cuisine) over 10days!
You will learn techniques for sushi making with popular fishes while learning how to use the fishes in washoku cuisine.
You will learn sushi and washoku technique with major/popular seafoods like Tuna, Salmon, Yellowtail, Red Snapper in international market.
