Hybrid role: Tour leader/Bar staff (Part time)

We’re looking for a part-time staff member for a hybrid role: primarily as a Tour Leader supporting the Study Trip team at Go! Go! Nihon, and secondarily as Bar Staff at the Study Abroad Pub.

As a Tour Leader, you’ll guide and support participants during activities, ensuring that tours run smoothly and that everyone is safe and having a great experience. You should feel confident speaking to and coordinating large groups, while creating a friendly and engaging atmosphere.

Most tours take place in the greater Tokyo area, so familiarity with local transport systems is essential. You’ll help facilitate conversations, keep participants involved, and translate or relay information as needed. A curiosity for different cultures and an enthusiasm for sharing your own experiences in Japan are key to succeeding in this role.

Job Requirements:

• Language Skills: English (Professional) and Japanese (Beginner-Conversational)
• 3rd language preferred (Italian, Swedish, or French)
• Must have been residing in Japan for 6 months or longer
• Currently located in greater Tokyo with at least 9 months remaining on a long-term visa (any type of visa that allows one to work part-time)
• Good communication and people skills
• Availability on weekends and from 1pm on weekdays
• Flexibility: Please note that the schedule is irregular. This is an on-call position and hours will vary depending on the month. 

Main Duties:

• Ensure that tours run smoothly and according to schedule
• Foster a friendly, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere for all participants
• Communicate any student concerns or issues promptly to the Study Trip Team
• Provide English translation and support during activities conducted in Japanese
• Monitor participant safety and help ensure awareness of local customs and rules
• Coordinate with local partners to resolve any issues that arise during the tour
• Support logistical arrangements such as transportation, meeting points, and group coordination
• Represent the company professionally at all times and maintain a positive group dynamic

As a Bar Staff, you will be responsible for bartending and hall service at the Study Abroad Pub, located in Shin-Okubo, close to the Go! Go! Nihon office. (Starting in January 2026)

No prior experience is required — training will be provided.

You will work 1–3 shifts per week, with monthly working hours ranging from 22 to 38 hours.

Availability: Every Thursday (17:30–22:00) and Friday (18:00–22:00) is required.
