Particularly in Japanese where the parts of the face are often used as general descriptors in everyday life, but also in dozens of expressions that have absolutely nothing to do with anatomy. We&#8217;ve brought some of these together that should be the most useful for you as they are commonly used in a variety of situations.<\/p>\n<p>First, you&#8217;ll need to learn the individual words, so here&#8217;s a complete list of parts of the <strong>face in Japanese<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The parts of the face in Japanese <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The first terms to remember are <em>atama<\/em> (\u982d), which means &#8220;head&#8221;, <em>kao<\/em> (\u9854), which instead means &#8220;face&#8221;, and <em>kubi<\/em> (\u9996), which means &#8220;neck&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Now that we know where we put the parts of the face in Japanese, we can move on to the actual list.<\/p>\n<p>Working from top to bottom, we find:<\/p>\n<p><em>kaminoke,<\/em> \u9aea\u306e\u6bdb = hair (you can also abbreviate to\u00a0<em>kami<\/em>, \u9aea)<br \/><em>hitai\/odeko,<\/em> \u3072\u305f\u3044 \/ \u304a\u3067\u3053 = front<br \/><em>mayuge<\/em>, \u7709\u6bdb = eyebrows (you can also abbreviate to mayu)<br \/><em>me<\/em>, \u76ee = eyes<br \/><em>matsuge<\/em>, \u307e\u3064\u3052 = eyelashes<br \/><em>mabuta<\/em>, \u307e\u3076\u305f = eyelids<br \/><em>mimi<\/em>, \u8033 = ears<br \/><em>hana<\/em>, \u9f3b = nose<br \/><em>hoho\/hoppe<\/em>, \u307b\u307b \/ \u307b\u3063\u307a = cheeks<br \/><em>kuchi<\/em>, \u53e3 = mouth<br \/><em>kichibiru<\/em>, \u304f\u3061\u3073\u308b = lips<br \/><em>ha<\/em>, \u6b6f = teeth<br \/><em>shita<\/em>, \u820c \/\u3079\u308d = tongue<br \/><em>ago<\/em>, \u3042\u3054 = chin<\/p>\n<p>To help you remember this you can refer to the image below, where you find all the words mentioned!<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-87299\" src=\"https:\/\/gogonihon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Eng-724x1024.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"724\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Much more than just anatomy <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Now let&#8217;s move on to the most interesting part, namely <strong>expressions<\/strong> (also known as idioms)!
