We are looking for a Swedish freelance translator to join our team!

Go! Go! Nihon helps students worldwide who want to live and study in Japan. Whether people are looking to study for two weeks or two years we provide free support to find the perfect school for them. We offer student visa application support, help find accommodation, and offer other services to get settled in Japan as well as the latest immigration advice. We offer our service in 7 languages and have helped over 11000 people from more than 90 countries achieve their dream of living & studying abroad.

Join the Go! Go! World team as a freelance translator to our Go! Go! Nihon. You should be a Swedish native speaker, preferably with knowledge of the Japanese language, and a general grasp of SEO practices.

Required Skills:

Native Swedish writing skills.
Experience translating from English.
Can commit with deadlines.
General understanding of SEO.

Preferred Skills:

Experience using WordPress and tools such as RankMath.
Conversational or better Japanese ability is a bonus.

My wife and I used Go Go Nihon to help us move to Tokyo to study Japanese. We had two people help us during the process, Jessica and Reinaldi, who were both super friendly and... helpful. Go Go Nihon made getting our student visa simple and easy. They had a checklist of things to make sure we could qualify, which took a lot of stress out of the process.The application started with us explaining what we want to get out of our time in Japan, where we wanted to live and what level of intensity we would want from our school. We were then recommended schools that matched what we wanted and could pick from. There are so many language schools in the country that it can be a bit intimidating with the amount of choice so we appreciated getting a shortlist.Once we picked a school, we paid our application fee which saved our spot on the course long in advanced as the application process can take a long time. We started applying in May 2024 for the April 2025 term.They were able to answer any questions we had and the process of applying was in small steps. They handled any communication with the school that we applied for and made sure all of our paperwork was correct so we wouldn't have to worry about having to fill things in multiple times.If you do apply, be aware that at first communication might be a little slower, a few days to a week for a response because they prioritise the closest term of students. But as your term approaches, communication will pick up in speed. Once our term became the closest term, we'd get responses very quickly.We move in about a month and Go GO Nihon will be holding a welcome event for all the students who applied through them which we're looking forward to. They are also holding other events in the year.Amazingly, all of this support is provided for free as well!Overall, I don't think we would have been able to work out how to get everything sorted without their help and I highly recommend them.read more
