Dormitory Application Fee
In order to reserve a room in the Akamonkai dormitory, you are required to submit a 30,000 yen Application Fee (plus PayPal commission fee). This fee is non-refundable and required to process your reservation for your desired dormitory room.

*Application Fee includes associated reservation and room preparation services.
Dormitory Rent Payment Information
You’ll be responsible for the security deposit (different from the Application Fee) of 30,000 yen, plus the first 3 months of rent once your spot in the dormitory is confirmed. It is the school’s policy to collect this all at once prior to your move-in date. Rent will be invoiced every 3 months, and will require full payment upfront.
Bedding
Bedding is not provided by default but can be purchased directly from the school for an additional 8,000yen.
The bedding consists of a 3-piece cover set (pillow, mattress – Japanese-style mattress 敷き布団, not the usual Western type of mattress, and comforter). The sizes are 150×200 cm for the comforter, 100×200 cm for the mattress, and 43×63 cm for the pillow. Students who have applied for a futon set may prepare a cover set in their home country in advance or buy it in Japan. Payment for the bedding will be due in cash at the time of move-in.

The move-in date is Monday, January 5th, from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

The dormitory will be accessible from 10:00 to 17:00 on the designated move-in date. If you arrive earlier or on a weekend, or if your estimated arrival at the school (Nippori station) is later than 17:00 (in that case you will be able to move-in on the next weekday), please plan to stay at a hotel until the move-in date.

Dormitory Placement section
We will notify all students of room assignments after the 19th of December.
Move Out
Move out date is 26th of March (planned; if not extending the 3-month contract). One month notice is required in all cases.
Cancellation Policy

You will be able to cancel your application until 25th of December, 23:59 JST.
If you cancel your reservation after this date, there will be a cancellation fee equivalent to the first 3 months of rent.

*Please note that if the announcement date is moved forward due to circumstances, the cancellation date will also be adjusted accordingly.
